December 18, 2019 - The first step is removing the old patio. Thank you Coalson Excavation!
December 18, 2019 - Coalson Excavation does a little demolition getting the site ready for pad work.
December 19, 2019 - Coalson Excavation brings in the dirt!
December 24, 2019-December 27, 2019 - Coalson Excavation prepares the site for the concrete pad.
January 31, 2020 - February 2, 2020 - Workers begin removing the parapet (low wall) on the roof. The slope of the roof is visible.
February 3, 2020 - After the weather cleared, workers were able to bring the truck to drill holes for the foundation piers.
February 7, 2020 - The Friends of the Library moved all the materials out of the children's room to allow plumbing contractors access to that space before the foundation was poured.
February 24, 2020 - The old metal siding comes down and is replaced with new siding. Trenches are dug to lay electrical and plumbing lines for the foundation.
February 28, 2020 - Stone for the rock wall skirting arrives. The rebar is in place for the foundation and the electricians are laying lines and prepping for the electrical floor receptacles.
February 29, 2020 - The foundation for the Library's new 5,600 sq. ft. addition is poured early Saturday, February 29, 2020.
March 3, 2020 - Rock wainscoting continues on original building exterior.
March 10, 2020 - Foundation slab is ready for the next step.
March 13, 2020 - Red iron steel for the framework of the addition is delivered.
March 23, 2020 - March 25, 2020 - The red iron steel begins to form the basic shape of the new library.
March 26, 2020 - March 27, 2020 - Red iron work continues while the metal framing begins shaping walls.
March 26, 2020 - March 29, 2020 - Due to the Coronavirus, the Library decides to pack up and move the entire collection into storage to allow construction crews access to the entire building.
March 31, 2020 - April 2, 2020 - The clerestory, windows above eye level, expands.
April 3, 2020 - The original building is emptied.
